A Stylish Autumn Wedding at Gaynes Park, Essex
As a Gaynes Park wedding photographer, I’ve been fortunate enough to photograph several weddings at this incredible Essex venue, with more bookings already secured for upcoming seasons. Every visit reminds me why it remains one of the most sought-after wedding venues in the South East.
Set within the Essex countryside, Gaynes Park perfectly combines contemporary elegance with rural charm. From the light-filled Orangery and stunning ceremony spaces to the beautiful gardens and panoramic views stretching towards the London skyline, it offers endless opportunities for relaxed, natural wedding photography.
The team at Gaynes Park are always a pleasure to work alongside, creating a seamless experience for couples and suppliers alike and helping every wedding day run effortlessly.
From Engagement Session to Wedding Day
I first met Becky and Jack at their engagement shoot long before their wedding day arrived.
One of the things I love most about engagement sessions is that they allow us to get to know one another before the big day. It gives couples the chance to relax in front of the camera, understand my approach, and build confidence before the wedding itself.
By the time their wedding day arrived, we already had a great connection and a clear understanding of the kind of photographs they wanted. It meant the day felt relaxed, natural and completely focused on enjoying the celebration.
A Wedding Filled With Style, Personality & Plenty of Fun
From our very first conversation, I had a feeling this would be one of those weddings where everything came together perfectly.
Becky looked incredible in her gown from Bellissima Weddings Essex, while the bridal party complemented the autumn colour palette beautifully. With six bridesmaids, four groomsmen and around 150 guests, there was no shortage of energy, laughter and memorable moments throughout the day.
Working alongside my good friend and second photographer Ben, we were able to document every part of the celebration, from the emotional moments and family connections through to the fun, laughter and packed dance floor later in the evening.
What stood out most was how effortlessly the day flowed. The atmosphere was relaxed, the couple were fully present, and every moment felt genuine — exactly the type of wedding I love to photograph.
Why Gaynes Park Is Perfect For Natural Wedding Photography
One of the reasons I enjoy photographing weddings at Gaynes Park is the variety it offers throughout the day.
The venue provides beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, stunning natural light, and elegant backdrops that allow couples to enjoy their day without spending hours away from their guests.
My approach is always centred around capturing the moments between the moments — the laughter, reactions, emotions and connections that make every wedding unique. Gaynes Park provides the perfect setting for that style of storytelling.

Gaynes Park Wedding, Essex | October 2024
“Where do I start? Pele was incredible from day one. We attended the complimentary couples shoot Pele provides, which initially we were apprehensive about, but found this to be an amazing experience and would highly recommend it.
On the wedding day, Pele was a huge part of keeping everything running smoothly and helping everyone feel comfortable. Together with his second photographer Ben, he captured incredible candid moments whilst making the whole experience feel relaxed and natural.
We received so many compliments from guests and suppliers about how friendly and approachable he was. The photographs are beautiful, professional and never overly staged. We even received sneak peeks while on honeymoon, which was such a lovely surprise.
We couldn’t recommend Pele highly enough and will absolutely be returning to him in the future.”

Tips for Beautiful Wedding Photography at Gaynes Park
Gaynes Park is a natural gift for a wedding photographer. The gardens and grounds give you soft, open light for portraits, while the barn and wider countryside setting work beautifully whatever the season — Becky and Jack’s autumn day was full of warm, golden colour. If you’re planning your own celebration here, a few small things make a real difference: leave a little breathing room in the timeline for a short couple’s walk around the grounds at golden hour, get ready somewhere with plenty of natural window light, and trust the space to do a lot of the work. My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive, so you can simply enjoy your day while I capture it as it unfolds.
