What is your style of photography?

For weddings and events I have a documentary style in the main.  It is important to me that I capture the unique essence of you as a couple on the most important day of your lives in an unobtrusive way. Creating a wonderful story of the whole day through beautiful images. Of course we need those wonderful Bride and Groom portraits, so I am always looking out for opportunities at venues to do something more special if my clients wish it.

It will be a big wedding, how will you deal with this?

With larger numbers of guests and/or multiple locations, it is recommended a second photographer is hired. This is common practice and something I can arrange at an extra cost. I have a full coverage package that includes this. I would use trusted colleagues, who shoot in the same style as myself. All images will be edited by myself to ensure a seamless look. A second photographer gets you more images from multiple viewpoints and allows for groom and bridal prep photos in different locations as well as front and back ceremony shots and be able to capture more of the ‘moments’ at those larger weddings..

How many images do you deliver ?

Usually a full day from prep to dancing, will receive about 600+ images. I prefer quality over quantity but sometimes deliver a lot more depending on the wedding, the venue, the weather, the number of guests etc. I would rather deliver great, quality images than make up the numbers as a marketing exercise. Within 7 days I will send you approx 15 edited images. A downloadable HD slideshow and your full edited set of photos (in both colour and black and white) generally take between 4-6 weeks and will be uploaded to your own private online gallery, to share with your family and friends if you so wish. When you receive your gallery you can buy prints directly from the online platform.  Luxury albums are an added cost and I will discuss this with you if you wish to have one designed and printed.

Have you shot at my venue before?

Having shot at a number of venues, sometimes a venue will be new to me but this isnt really a problem for a professional photographer. In fact new venues are exciting and get the creative juices flowing with new opportunities for images… but If this is the case I always contact the wedding planner at the venue, if its relatively close I may take a visit to the venue and if not, I do extensive research on the venue and get there earlier than required to have a quiet walk around the site on the day. There are 1000’s of wedding venues across the UK and although I cannot profess to having shot at all of them, I will do the due diligence to be prepared for when I arrive at your wedding. It’s our job to photograph people wherever we may find them in various lighting scenarios, so rest assured this is never a problem.

Do you edit all the images in our image gallery?

Yes I do. Every image I deliver is post produced with my unique, creative signature style of post-production. This involves color correction, exposure adjustment, black and white processing, clarity adjustments, tone-mapping, and other corrections. Every image I deliver has gone through my process before delivery to the gallery. I do not at any point deliver RAW images to clients. I will deliver high resolution images in JPEG format only. All my couples receive a gallery with two albums. One in full colour and one edited in black and white.

When will the images be available.

Within 7 days I send you approximately 15 edited images, so you have something to use for your social media or thank you cards. A slideshow and your full edited set of photos generally take between 4-6 weeks and will be uploaded online to your own private gallery, to share with your family and friends.

In case of unforeseen circumstances, do you have a replacement photographer?

Thankfully, so far I have never missed a shoot… but I have an extensive group of photographers I work with regularly to call on if something untoward happens and I could not make it to the day! These would be photographers that 2nd shoot for me or I shoot for them as a 2nd photographer for example, so we are used to working together and understand each others style.

Do we get copyright of the images?

You’ll be granted personal printing rights, empowering you to print, copy or share your images extensively for your personal use, however, it’s important to note that these privileges don’t extend to commercial or profitable purposes such as stock image companies. In order to safeguard against unauthorised use or theft, as the creative artist who took the images, I will retain the copyright ownership of the images. I also never send RAW images to clients under any circumstances. I will deliver high resolution images in JPEG format only.

Are you insured?

I have full public liability insurance of £5million.  I also have a recent DBS check certificate. Some venues, especially the large, luxury type venues will request evidence of this and the amount. I will ensure they get a copy of my certificate where requested. I always deal direct with any venue I am to work at also, which saves you a job!

How do we book?
